Beyond the Sunset

Sunday, September 14, 2008

Sitting by the ocean
of love and life.
Dipping my toes
scared of the tide.
Caressed by your voice
ever so gentle.
Setting me free
pulling me deeper.

Wild waves taunt
my lowered eyes.
And I think of that someone
who has your love tonight.
Holding you close
away from the world.
Through days of joy
and nights of laughter.

I wait forever
in smiles and tears .
Silent, helpless words,
but the heartbeat whispers
Your soul tells me
untamed as the sea.
beyond the sunset,
that someone is me.

Nice, especially the last four lines. It seems so much easier to follow your heart than to think and rethink issues sometimes.
I guess it's a double treat coming from you in a short span :)

Honestly, I liked the unpolished one more, the one where you followed your heart :) But then it is just a feeling.

Please continue to create as it is a real pleasure to read and feel what you write.

You too have a great and a creative Sunday!

Beautiful poetry. I love the way it leads you to think of unrequited love before you get to the ending which then turns your thoughts upside down.

Umm, to me, this is a beautiful elaboration of the phrase - "made for each other" OR "soul mates".

I love the tenderness and beauty in this one. It is so fragile and lovely! Keep them coming Chhaya!
