Sitting by the ocean
of love and life.
Dipping my toes
scared of the tide.

Setting me free
pulling me deeper.


Wild waves taunt
my lowered eyes.
And I think of that someone
who has your love tonight.
Holding you close
away from the world.
Through days of joy
and nights of laughter.

I wait forever
in smiles and tears .
Silent, helpless words,
but the heartbeat whispers
Your soul tells me
untamed as the sea.
